Every Short earns from two pools of YouTube ad revenue.

YouTube splits Shorts ad revenue between a Creator Pool, paid to the channel, and a Music Pool, paid to whoever owns the track. Your ad revenue is untouched. The Music Pool share is tracked per video and settled monthly.

Aeloria licenses you music and pays out a share of what that music earns. It does not touch your ad revenue, your uploads, your sponsors or the rights to your own videos.

A catalog produced in house and owned outright

Aeloria writes and records its own music for Shorts and holds 100% of the master rights. Nothing in the catalog is sublicensed, so nothing arrives with a third party attached to it.

Owning the masters is what makes the Music Pool allocation payable to us in the first place, and therefore shareable with you. Tracks are added continuously and grouped by the niches the network posts in: True Crime, anime, gaming, cinematic and lifestyle.

Music Pool revenue without the Partner Program

The Music Pool is paid to the rights holder, not to the channel. Channels outside YPP earn on exactly the same terms as channels inside it.

For a lot of unmonetized channels this is the first revenue their Shorts have produced. There is no subscriber minimum and no watch-hour threshold on our side either. We look at consistency, output and niche fit.

The math

Where Shorts revenue goes before it reaches you.

YouTube pools the ad revenue from Shorts and then splits it in two. Creators are paid out of the first pool. The second is paid to whoever owns the music in the video.

Because Aeloria owns its masters, a Short that uses one of our tracks routes that second pool to us. We pay your share of it back on the monthly cycle.

Is this against YouTube's Terms of Service?
No. Adding licensed background music is what YouTube’s sound library exists for. The tracks are ours, we license them to you, and you add them the same way you would add any other sound.
Does this lower my regular Shorts ad revenue?
No. Creator Pool earnings are calculated independently of the music and do not change. The Music Pool is a separate allocation that normally leaves the channel entirely. Partnering with us routes a share of it back to you.
My channel isn't in the Partner Program. Can I still earn?
Yes. The Music Pool is paid to the rights holder rather than the channel, so YPP is not required to receive it through us. For many unmonetized channels this is the first revenue their content has produced.
Can I post the same video on TikTok and Reels?
Yes. Make your YouTube Short, then upload the same edit to TikTok, Instagram Reels and Facebook Reels. Add the Aeloria version of your track from each app’s music library and log each video link in your portal. You give the same work more audiences and more opportunities to earn. Music earnings depend on each platform’s royalty reports.
Do I have to be exclusive?
No. Keep using other music wherever it fits. You earn Music Pool revenue on the videos that use our catalog and nothing else is affected.
How big does my channel need to be?
There is no subscriber minimum. We look at content quality, output and niche fit rather than raw size, and the network has channels at every stage.
When does the first payment arrive?
YouTube reports Music Pool royalties to rights holders on roughly a three month delay, so the first payment covers Shorts you published about a quarter earlier. After that the cycle is monthly. Balances under $100 roll into the next payout rather than being lost.
What happens if I stop using the catalog?
New videos stop earning Music Pool revenue. Nothing is clawed back, videos you already published keep earning for as long as they perform and your creator account stays open (payouts need an account to land in), and there is no notice period or penalty for leaving.
